What Our Customers Say
Posted on Patricia ReillyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ron was very good and patientPosted on Susan TajalliTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am an existing customer of Dog Watch. I had the invisible fence installed about 4 years ago when I got my Jack Russell puppy. I had one call for repair due to yard work and they came out promptly, resolved it quickly and charged much less than expected. This week my very active dog managed to break the collar receiver. Of course it happened at the end of the week. I went to the website and ordered a new one and left a voicemail. Karen within what seemed like minutes responded that she just priority mailed it. Now THAT is customer service!Posted on Creative MetalsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Since our initial install (3 dogs ago) Ron & Karen have been there for us, from supplying small things, like extra batteries, to the many repairs we needed over the years due to one thing or another. They are always available, sweet & fair to deal with. We have recommended them many times over the years and will continue to do so for many to come! Thanks for keeping our fur babies safe! :-) Kenny & TeresaPosted on Brian GottschalkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My Dog Watch Hidden Fence works great! The installation was seamless & they were able to do it without hitting any of the buried lines for my irrigation system. Ron & Karen are great to work with! I highly recommend them for your hidden dog containment fence.Posted on James AndersonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such a good experience! My dogs love their newfound freedom and I don’t have to worry about them in the yard.Posted on Blair RossmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ron and Karen Knight are amazing! Great customer service and great product! Best investment I have made in a long time, now I do not have to worry about my 2 dachshund puppies getting out or have to have fencing everywhere!Posted on Kathleen ORourkeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Honest and Trustworthy to work with. Great service and service oriented. Highly recommendedPosted on Jean HydeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I live along the Indian River. I have. A puppy that was running along our seawall chasing lizards. I was convinced he was going to fall in the river and I can’t really swim so I couldn’t rescue him. I had Dogwatch come in and install an electric fence. It took two days for the puppy to learn where he couldn’t go. Now I just put his collar on when we’re going in the backyard. I can’t tell you how that has changed our enjoyment of our backyard. Best purchase we’ve made this year! OBTW I did a comparison price check with Invisible Fence. Dog Watch was half the cost and their service is local. The Invisible Fence salesperson told me they can’t compete with Dog Watch

You Asked, We Answered
The SideWalker is used to train dogs to walk on a leash without pulling and to reinforce appropriate leash walking behavior.
A sensor under the collar strap on the SideWalker is triggered by pressure when the dog pulls on the leash (or when you pull the leash to direct the dog into the desired position.) When the sensor is activated, the dog receives either a vibration or a stimulation. The SideWalker should be set to a level that is just enough to distract the dog from the pulling behavior. Most dogs learn quickly that the sensation stops when the pulling stops.
Several variables affect how quickly your dog’s behavior will change, most notably the personality of your dog and the environment in which you are training the dog. Most dogs begin to understand the relationship between pulling and the vibration/stimulation after several activations of the collar. The pulling behavior diminishes quickly in some dogs and more gradually in others. If there is no noticeable change in pulling behavior after a reasonable trial period, check the collar to make sure the fit is good and the contact posts are the correct size. If collar fit is appropriate and the dog continues to pull, the SideWalker setting should be increased one level.
The SideWalker is safe and effective on dogs as small as 6 pounds.
We recommend waiting until the dog is 4-6 months old.
The components in the SideWalker are specified to operate from minus 25 degrees (F) to 125 degrees (F). A significant and rapid change in temperature may temporarily disrupt some of the SideWalker functions until the device adjusts to the new temperature level.
